Mae uses AI to generate responses, and while we strive for accuracy, AI can sometimes make mistakes. Always use your judgment when following recipes, especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions. If you notice consistent issues, please let us know at info@mae.recipes.
Yes! Mae is fully responsive and works great on phones and tablets. You can even use your camera to capture photos of recipes or ingredients (Pro feature).
Mae will gently nudge you to start a new chat when your conversation gets very long. This is because the AI can only consider a certain amount of context at once. Starting fresh ensures Mae gives you the best responses.
Features
Free gives you 5 questions per week and up to 10 saved recipes. Pro gives you 50 questions per day, unlimited saved recipes, plus the ability to upload photos and documents. Pro is $10/month or $7/month when billed annually.
Photo and document uploads are a Pro feature. Upgrade to Pro to snap photos of recipes, ingredients, or your pantry and have Mae help you with them.
Free users can save up to 10 recipes. Pro users get unlimited recipe storage.
Yes! Each recipe has a share button that creates a unique link you can send to friends and family. Shared links work even if the recipient doesn't have a Mae account.
Account & Data
Mae uses passwordless authentication via email magic links. Simply sign out and request a new magic link to sign in. Each time you sign in, you'll receive a fresh secure link to your email.
Go to Settings and click “Download My Data” to export all your conversations, recipes, and feedback as a JSON file.
Go to Settings and click “Delete Account”. This will permanently remove all your data including conversations, saved recipes, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.
Billing & Subscription
Pro subscribers can manage their subscription from the Settings page. Click “Manage Subscription” to access the Stripe billing portal where you can update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. If you're not satisfied within 14 days of your first payment, contact us at info@mae.recipes for a full refund. Subsequent monthly renewals are non-refundable, but you may cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
When you cancel, you'll retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier with 5 questions per week. Your saved recipes and conversation history remain accessible.
