By accessing or using Mae ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Mae is an AI-powered kitchen assistant that provides personalized recipe suggestions, cooking guidance, and meal planning assistance. The Service is provided on both free and paid subscription tiers.
3. User Accounts
To use Mae, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscription and Billing
Free Tier: Includes 5 questions per day and ability to save up to 10 recipes.
Pro Tier: $10/month (or $84/year billed annually). Includes 100 questions per day, unlimited saved recipes, and photo upload features.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our prices. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to subsequent billing periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
6. AI-Generated Content
Mae uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes and cooking guidance. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always use your judgment when following recipes, especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions. Mae is not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Mae and protected by intellectual property laws. Recipes you create using Mae are yours to use and share. By using the Service, you grant us permission to display and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mae shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
